yonTande shares his artistic origins starting as a filmmaker at Howard University and ultimately finding African dance through a PE requirement as a gateway into a new passion. Meredith Rainey discusses the significance of his name and how he came to be. The two speak on and bond over their roots and history through the form of storytelling.

Meredith Rainey began dancing at 15 in his hometown of Fort Lauderdale. He became the first African-American to join the Milwaukee Ballet (1985).
