7NMS Art x Power Home

An incubator residency space for artists and most especially Black Radical Experimentalists to come and Rest, Dream, & Play. Please see the following video link below.

Our goal is not to charge artists for this space, but to partner with organizations, to host choreographers, sound design artists, directors, writers, ministers, org. Leaders (w/o their full companies) at the beginning of their processes, as they sketch ideas, journal, or constructively rest between sessions.

We would love to work with other Black led spaces and organizations to create a line of support for artists along their creative processes, from early incubation to full production.

We were grateful to recently host Stephanie McKee/Junebug Productions and their recent producing support for Octarve Anderson on the emergence of their newest project in New Orleans, LA.

Please review video links for more information about the Art x Power Home. Please also note that we’ve now made a second bedroom available for artists to bring collaborators/dramaturgs/supports!

ARTIST SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT RESOURCES (Google Doc)

The Artist Sustainability Project is a platform for research initiated by interdisciplinary artists David Thomson and Kate Watson-Wallace that seeks to create and expand discourse surrounding ideas of financial, artistic, and personal empowerment in the arts community. At the heart of this work are concepts of care, community, and resources that can feed and support each artist’s individual ecosystem of sustainability.
