Tony Turner
Tony Turner comes from a family of artists, Influenced by his father Juanca Turner, a graphic artist and photographer. As a teen he purchased his first camera and started exploring 35mm photography and was later trained in photography, graphic design and computer graphics. Tony has taught photography to students in Newark and Paterson, New Jersey. He is known for photographing dance performances, events, and an impressive list of celebrities and politicians. A resident of Montclair, New Jersey, he was the event photographer for “Dance on the Lawn: Montclair’s Dance Festival, and a recurring photographer for The Montclair Jazz Festival, and The Montclair Film Festival. Tony’s work has been presented at the Wassaic Project and gala, and has been seen in various print publications including the New York Times and The Amsterdam News and others.
